IAN WENDEL

President / Board Member

Ian Wendel is humbled to have the opportunity to volunteer his time with Run Against ALS. He tries to live each day to fullest and hopes that his dedication to Run Against ALS’s mission allows those affected by ALS to do the same.

Professionally, he is a physiatrist fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and Interventional Spine at Tri-County Orthopedics in Cedar Knolls, NJ. As a physician, he tries to help those with disabilities, an athlete with shoulder pain or a teacher with back pain, and with Run Against ALS, he strives for the same. Additionally, he has published a number of peer reviewed articles and book chapters and is an editor of a textbook, Home Exercise Programs for Musculoskeletal and Sports Injuries: The Evidence-Based Guide for Practitioners. He also is team physician for Morris Catholic High School.

Personally, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He enjoys family ski trips, running, biking and just being outside. Most weekends, he is probably not too far from a soccer related activity either coaching his kids, cheering on his beloved Tottenham Hotspur or kicking a ball around the backyard thinking he could still play for Binghamton University.

ADAM GILBERT

Treasurer / Board Member

Adam Gilbert is grateful to be a part of the volunteer ALS team as the treasurer. Professionally, Adam is the Contemporary Music Director at Central Presbyterian Church, Owner of Streamline Car Wash, Music Educator and a singer-songwriter. He received his BA from the University of Miami and is a graduate of Sparta High School.

During the winter Adam is a avid POW hunter always looking for knee deep gnar to shred. During the warmer months he enjoys hiking or finding a lazy river to float down. He hopes his experience in business will help Run Against ALS provide hope and relief for those afflicted with this tragic disease.
